A hand moulded loaf made with a flour containing a delicious blend of malted wheat, barley and rye flakes for a distinctive taste and texture.
- How we make it:
We create what's known as a 'sponge' the day before baking this loaf, made from water, salt, yeast and malthouse flour containing malted wheat, barley and rye flakes. This is added to our dough the following day, which we then prove in our cane Bannetons before tipping them onto the oven bottom to bake.
- Try it with:
Cutting generous slices to make a traditional ploughman's supper - pickled onion, real cheddar cheese, celery, grapes and chutney. Lovely.
Allergen advice: Contains wheat, rye, gluten
